In the field of repair the Laser is a tool which is unbeaten in respects of speed, preciseness and flexibility. As generally all jewelry metals can be laser welded, there are no limitations. In most cases precious stones or spring do not need to be taken out before welding. Even very difficult to handle alloys like pewter or custom made jewelry (white metal) can be welded with a laser. Antiques can be restored with only minor damage to the original surface. Watchbands, watches and their parts can be welded easily, as the laser offers facilities for the use of protecting gas like Argon or Nitrogen.
